Butter Chicken, also known as Murgh Makhani, is perhaps the most famous dish to come out of Punjab. At Doaba Meat Shop and Take-out Restaurant, we prepare this classic using authentic techniques. Our version starts with succulent chicken pieces marinated in yogurt and spices, then cooked in our tandoor for that smoky, charred flavour.
The magic happens when the tandoori chicken meets our house-made makhani gravy — a luscious blend of tomatoes, butter, cream, and carefully selected spices including fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) that give it that distinctive, slightly sweet flavour. The result is a dish that's creamy, mildly spiced, and absolutely irresistible.
